Garnet Station, established 2007, boasts a smart boutique wine list, great New Zealand craft beer and a selection of organic non-alcoholic drinks including Tea Total teas and Chiasso organic coffee made with Green Valley organic milk. Where possible we use organic meat & bacon in our breakfasts, pies, melts, and pizzas & we only use free range eggs & chicken. Down the side of the lane at the back of the bungalow cafe is a 35 seat theatre with plays & band scheduled all year round. Make a night of it and come for dinner before the show. Go to the Tiny Theatre selection below to find out what’s coming up and book a seat. The theatre is also perfect for birthday parties and private functions (50 people max). Garnet Station provides the food and drink with no venue hire fee.

    The LMG return with their warm brand of Country Blues, Western Swing and Jazz and the fabulous addition of one of the world’s best musicians Ron Thaler on percussion. Three-time Grammy winner Thaler rarely visits NZ and is sure to add another dimension to Leila’s excellent band.

    The Huia born and bred Mike and Nick are on guitar and vocals. Mike runs Te Huia Tours and got to take Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel for their bushwalk. Rik is the quiet bass player with Steve on Keyboards, and John on drums. They met through The Auckland Blues Club but like to mix it up, playing some original songs, some late 60’s covers, a bit of funk, psychedelic rock, and delight in putting on a good show.

BRIGHT is the true story of Scottish scientist James Maxwell, great Grandfather of the TV, radio & mobile phone and his colourful ancestor Auckland mayoral candidate Penny Bright. Devised and performed by Verity George & Lisa Prager, it is an energetic kinetic surprise exploring the radiant lives of two brilliant people.

    Written by Henrik Ibsen 116 years ago, this touring production from Walking Shadows of Wellington is the first performance of the work in NZ. The story centres around the difficulties of marriage, the unpredictability of artistic vision and the pursuit of a satisfying life in the face of adversity. Reviewed by the 2016 NZ Fringe Festival as a ‘design and acting tour de force’. The cast is Ryan Cundy, Cathy-Ellen Paul, Tom Kereama, Catriona Tipene & Iris Henderson.
