This is a Playback Theatre performance for the community of Westmere who for some years have battled to stop the Western Springs Forest being cut down.
Many of us have stories of walking in the woods and enjoying the freedom of having an urban forest on our doorstep. Then for ages it was fenced off until finally the long battle with the Council was lost and the entire hillside felled and chipped, a crying shame.
Come to share and listen to stories and see them played back to you by an experienced team of actors: Verity George, Clare Battersby, Martin Putt, Julie Killick, Jude Bishop and Stephen Hollins. Book a general admission seat online, then pay on the night when you grab a drink or a bite to eat, if dining it’s best to book a table at the same time on this website!
